China Folding Tables/Chairs: Final Results of AD Admin & NS Reviews

The International Trade Administration has issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative and new shipper reviews of folding tables and chairs from China (A-570-868), which sets AD duty cash deposit rates for three exporters (Feili, Lifetime, and Xinjiamei). The rates for these three are officially effective October 25, 2011, and are expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon. The ITA is also revoking this AD order for New-Tec as producer and exporter1. This revocation is effective retroactive to June 1, 2010, and is also expected to be implemented by CBP soon.

1The ITA has determined that New-Tec qualifies for revocation from this AD duty order. As a result, ITA sources state that the order for New-Tec as producer and exporter is revoked effective June 1, 2010. ITA will order the lifting of the suspension of liquidation and for CBP to release any AD cash deposits or bonds, with interest. (Note that the prelimininary results of this review correctly stated that the order for New-Tec was being revoked for New-Tec as both producer and exporter. The ITA may publish a correction notice for these final results.)

2While Feili has a zero AD cash deposit rate, it is still subject to the order.

3Xinjiamei was reviewed as a new shipper, and as a result the ITA instructed CBP to allow, at the option of the importer, the posting, until the completion of the review, of a bond or other security in lieu of an AD cash deposit. As the review has been completed, this bond/security option is no longer allowed.

(The period of review is 06/01/09 - 05/31/10. See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the order, detailed cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc.) See ITT's Online Archives 11062017 for summary of preliminary results. See ITT's Online Archives 10072913 for summary of initiation notice.)
