Bill to Fund Federal Government thru Nov 18 Sent to President

On October 4, 2011, the House agreed with the Senate’s version of H.R. 2608, a bill to continue funding the federal government through November 18, 2011 and to fund certain disaster relief. (The current short-term continuing resolution was set to expire on October 4, 2011.)

(The Senate passed H.R. 2608 on September 26, 2011. H.R. 2608 was presented to the President on October 4, 2011.

According to House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rogers (R-KY), H.R. 2608 gives both the House and Senate more time to finish their work on the fiscal year 2012 appropriations bills.
