CPSC to Vote by Aug 17 on Toy Standard Education and Outreach Notice

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has posted a draft Federal Register notice for Commissioner approval on the development of a strategic outreach and education plan to help the business community and other stakeholders learn about the testing and certification requirements for children's toys and toy chests and their compliance with toy standard ASTM F 963-08 (and section 4.27 on toy chests from an earlier version of the toy standard). The CPSC Commissioners' votes on this notice are due by August 17, 2011.
