Italy Stainless Steel Plate: ITC Votes to Revoke AD Order
The International Trade Commission has voted to revoke the antidumping duty order on stainless steel plate from Italy. The ITC determined that revoking the order would not be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.

(The ITC also voted that the revocation of the AD duty orders on stainless steel plate from Belgium, Italy, Korea, South Africa and Taiwan, and the countervailing duty order on stainless steel plate from South Africa would be likely to lead to such injury; therefore, these AD/CV duty orders will remain in place.
This action comes under the five-year (sunset) review process required by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act (URAA), which according to 19 CFR 351.218(a), requires the International Trade Administration to revoke an AD or CV duty order, or terminate a suspension agreement, after five years unless it is found that revocation would be likely to lead to both (1) a continuation or recurrence of dumping or a countervailable subsidy by the ITA and (2) material injury to a U.S. industry within a reasonably foreseeable time by the ITC.)
