State Department
Travel Warnings are issued when the State Department decides, based on all relevant information, to recommend that Americans avoid travel to a certain country. The State Department has not issued any new or updated travel warnings since BP's most recent update.
Travel Alerts are a means to disseminate information about terrorist threats, natural disasters, and other relatively short-term conditions posing significant risks to the security of American travelers.
