CPSC Announces Open Meetings with Industry Stakeholders

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has updated the list of meetings between CPSC and its stakeholders that are open to the public, unless otherwise stated:

Timely, relevant coverage of court proceedings and agency rulings involving tariffs, classification, valuation, origin and antidumping and countervailing duties.   • Baby slings. Several CPSC staff will meet with Felker and Charlene Wade of the Babywearing Institute to discuss infant sling use and public education; 05/31/11.
  • Mexico, Brazil safety issues. Chairman Tenenbaum and other CPSC staff are meeting in Mexico and Brazil with counterpart agencies and other stakeholders to discuss cooperation on consumer product safety issues; 06/07/11.
  • Juvenile products. Patricia Edwards, Directorate for Engineering Sciences, and other CPSC staff attending the ASTM F15 subcommittee meetings on Juvenile Products; 06/13/11-06/15/11.
  • Table saws. Chairman Tenenbaum and three other Commissioners met separately with law firms and the National Consumers League on table saw injuries; 05/24/11-05/25/11
  • Window coverings. CPSC staff attended the Window Covering Manufacturers Association (WCMA) Standards Steering Committee meeting; 05/25/11.
