Treasury Blocks Iranian Shipping Company, Others Tied to IRGC and IRISL
The Treasury Department has announced a set of designations targeting the financial networks of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL). Pursuant to Executive Order 13224, which targets for sanctions terrorists and those providing support to terrorists or acts of terrorism, Treasury designated Liner Transport Kish for providing shipping services on behalf of the IRGC.

Pursuant to E.O. 13382, which freezes the assets of proliferators of weapons of mass destruction,Treasury also designated Bonyad Taavon Sepah and its Executive Director Parviz Fattah, Ansar Bank, and Mehr Bank for providing services to the IRGC; and Moallem Insurance Company for providing marine insurance to IRISL vessels. The Office of Foreign Assets Control has also updated its Specially Designated Nationals list to include these designations.
