Ways & Means Asked to Reconsider Footwear, Apparel, Textile Exclusions from Draft MTB

On December 6, 2010, the American Apparel and Footwear Association sent a letter to the House Ways and Means Committee Chairman and Ranking Member urging the Committee to reconsider its exclusion of dozens of footwear, apparel and textile provisions from the recently released Miscellaneous Tariff Bill discussion draft (2nd MTB). The letter states that the Office of U.S. Trade Representative has opposed their inclusion in the measure.
