Additional Comment Period for CBP Form 247 on Cost Submission

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is announcing an additional 30 day comment period for the proposed revision and extension of its existing CBP Form 247, Cost Submission information collection, which it plans to submit to the Office of Management and Budget for review and approval. CBP Form 247 provides details regarding actual costs and helps CBP determine which costs are dutiable and which are not. CBP proposes to revise CBP Form 247 by removing outdated information and instructions. This revision will not change the information provided by respondents on CBP Form 247. Comments on the proposed revision and extension are due by January 6, 2011.
