CBP Posts Information on its Import Safety CTAC
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted information on the Import Safety Commercial Targeting and Analysis Center (CTAC).

(The Department of Homeland Security announced the creation of the Import Safety CTAC in December 2009 and said that it would enhance the inspection of goods entering the U.S. by centralizing and strengthening federal efforts to protect consumers. CBP states that the Import Safety CTAC is a CBP facility designed to streamline and enhance federal efforts to address import safety issues. It combines the resources and manpower of CBP and other government agencies to protect the U.S. from harm caused by unsafe imported products by improving communication and information-sharing and reducing redundant inspection activities.
