Chairman Tenenbaum expressed excitement about the Strategic Plan’s proactive nature. She said that she wants the public to see that CPSC is not just an agency implementing the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) or reacting to problems as they appear, but one that is actively working with industry and international partners to prevent them. The Strategic Plan is scheduled for Commission vote on September 29, 2010.
