2010/2011 Cotton Fibers TRQ Opens September 13th

CBP has posted a memorandum announcing the September 13, 2010 opening of the TRQ on cotton fibers as provided for in HTS Chapter 52, Additional U.S. Note 10 for the period September 11, 2010 through September 10, 2011.The TRQ level is 2,500 kg.

Articles the product of countries or areas who are not members of the World Trade Organization shall not be permitted or included in the TRQ. Articles the product of Mexico shall not be permitted or included in the TRQ and no such articles shall be classifiable therein. Entries from Canada, Mexico, Jordan, Singapore, Chile, Australia, Morocco, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Bahrain, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Peru, and Oman should be presented as a type 02 entry using the high rate (over-quota) tariff number provided for in chapter 52, without the chapter 99 HTS number, and should be reported through the ACS quota module.
