Court Rules in Favor of LA Port in Clean Truck Program, ATA Plans Appeal
The Port of Los Angeles has announced that U.S. District Judge Snyder issued a ruling on Aug. 26 in favor of the City of Los Angeles and the Port of Los Angeles in a lawsuit brought by the American Trucking Associations over the Port’s Clean Truck Program. The court awarded judgment in favor of the City of Los Angeles and ruled that the Concession Agreement provisions are enforceable.

ATA announced that it plans to appeal the decision and further intends to ask the court to maintain the legal status quo -- that is, to keep in place the injunction against the ban on independent owner-operators, off-street parking, and other provisions -- until the Court of Appeals has the opportunity to review the case.
