FDA Product Code Changes for Tobacco Products

CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that due to legislative changes in the regulation of tobacco products, the Food and Drug Administration will be ending the following 3 product codes 30 days from August 17, 2010:

  • 80M--SO Tobacco, Cigarette (for use in making)
  • 80M--SP Tobacco, Smokeless (cut, ground, powdered, or leaf intended to be placed in oral cavity)
