FDA OASIS/Phone Outage in Texas

CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that starting Friday, August 20, 2010 at 3:00 pm CST, all FDA Texas offices will experience a server outage until 9:00 am CST on Monday, August 23, 2010. In addition, the phone system in the FDA Dallas office will not be operational during this time.While the servers are unavailable, FDA's TX offices will not have access to entry information transmitted through ABI.

Entries filed after 3 pm on August 20 for ports located in Texas will be processed by FDA offices located in Nogales, AZ and Otay Mesa, CA. To check on the status of an entry or for other questions during this outage, call (619) 661-3250 or (619) 661-3273 - the FDA Otay Mesa, CA offices. Contingency steps have been taken to limit delays and ensure appropriate follow-up with filers and importers. The phone and data systems are expected to be actively working again shortly after 9:00 am on August 23.
