DEA Issues Final Rules Under Controlled Substances Act

  • Designationof 4-anilino-N-phenethyl-4-piperidine (ANPP) as a precursor schedule II controlled substance;
  • Correctionof 21 CFR to delete expired regulations which list the substances benzylfentanyl and thenylfentanyl as being temporarily subject to schedule I controls under emergency scheduling provisions;
  • Exemptionof chemical mixtures that are 70% or less gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), by weight or volume that do not represent a significant risk of diversion from CSA regulatory controls.
