April 2010 Customs Broker Exam Had 11.1% Pass Rate

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted the April 2010 customs broker license exam and answer key. According to CBP sources, the pass rate for the April exam was 11.1%.

Pass Rate 60% Higher Than October Exam

The 11.1% pass rate for the April 2010 customs broker license exam is 60% higher than the 6.9% pass rate for the October 2009 exam.

Approximately 1,200 persons took the April 2010 exam, which is the same as October 2009. Those that passed the exam are eligible to apply for a Customs brokers license.

Five "Problem" Questions

According to the answer key and sources, the April exam had five "problem" questions -- credit was granted to all for questions 4, 57, and 60; also, multiple answers were accepted for questions 10 and 18.
