(This review was initiated to determine whether partial revocation of the AD duty order is warranted with respect to chrome-plated steel wire garment hangers with a diameter of 3.4 mm or greater.)

Chrome-Plated Hangers Excluded from AD Duty Order

The ITA has made a final determination that U.S. producers representing substantially all of the production of the domestic like product pertaining to the part of the AD duty order to be revoked have expressed a lack of interest in the part of the revoked AD duty order.

Therefore, the ITA has amended the scope of the AD duty order on steel wire garment hangers from China to include the following exclusion: Excluded from the scope are chrome-plated steel wire garment hangers with a diameter of 3.4 mm or greater.

Revocation for Chrome-Plated Hangers is Retroactive to March 25, 2008

The ITA has determined to retroactively revoke the subject AD duty order for the subject chrome-plated hangers to March 25, 2008, (the effective date of the preliminary affirmative AD duty determination).

Therefore, the ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to liquidate without regard to AD duties, as applicable, all unliquidated entries of chrome-plated steel wire garment hangers with a diameter of 3.4 mm or greater with a time of entry on or after March 25, 2008.

Cash Deposits to be Refunded for Entries On or After March 25, 2008

The ITA will also instruct CBP to refund any estimated cash deposits collected for all unliquidated entries of chrome-plated steel wire garment hangers with a diameter of 3.4 mm or greater with a time of entry on or after March 25, 2008.

(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the order, etc.
