2. FDA Announces Availability of Fish/Fishery Products CPG
The Food and Drug Administration has issued a notice announcing the availability of Compliance Policy Guide Sec. 540.370 - Fish and Fishery Products - Decomposition (the CPG). 3. Homeport TWIC New Hire Information Available
The Coast Guard has issued a notice announcing that the Homeport TWIC New Hire Provision is now available for MTSA-regulated vessels and maritime facilities. 4. Two Men Arrested for Illegally Exporting Sensitive Technology to China
Immigration and Customs Enforcement reports that two Southern California men were arrested for their role in separate schemes to illegally export controlled items to China in violation of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The Bureau of Industry and Security updated its "Major Cases List" for January 2009. 9. OFAC Designates One Entity under Terrorism EO
The Office of Foreign Assets Control has issued a notice publishing the name of one newly-designated entity whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to Executive Order 13224 of September 23, 2001, "Blocking Property and Prohibiting Transactions With Persons Who Commit, Threaten To Commit, or Support Terrorism." 10. OFAC Designates Individuals, Entities under Burma EOs/JADE Act
OFAC has issued a notice publishing the names of two newly-designated individuals and twenty-three entities whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to Executive Order 13448 of October 18, 2007, "Blocking Property and Prohibiting Certain Transactions Related to Burma" or Executive Order 13464 of April 30, 2008, "Blocking Property and Prohibiting Certain Transactions Related to Burma." OFAC is also identifying certain individuals and entities that are subject to the blocking provisions of the Tom Lantos Block Burmese JADE (Junta's Anti- Democratic Efforts) Act of 2008.
