No Cash Deposit Required, AD Order Revoked Effective October 29, 2007
The ITA's review covers one manufacturer/exporter, Ivaco Rolling Mills 2004 L.P. and Sivaco Ontario, a division of Sivaco Wire Group 2004 L.P. (collectively, Ivaco).
However, the AD duty order was revoked for effective for entries of subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after October 29, 2007. (See ITT's Online Archives or 07/31/08 news, 08073145, for BP summary of the revocation of the order.)
Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (10/01/06 - 09/30/07)
The ITA intends to issue assessment instructions to U.S. Customs and Border Protection 41 days after December 18, 2008. The ITA has calculated importer-specific assessment rates for the subject merchandise.
The ITA adds that for entries of subject merchandise during the review period produced by Ivaco for which Ivaco did not know the merchandise was destined for the U.S., the ITA will instruct CBP to liquidate unreviewed entries at the 8.11% all-others rate if there is no company-specific rate for the intermediary involved in the transaction. (See ITT's Online Archives or 06/02/03 news, 03060245, for BP summary of the ITA's May 2003 "automatic assessment" regulation.)
(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the order, etc.
