The Bureau of Industry and Security has renewed a Temporary Denial Order suspending the export privileges of Balli Group PLC and related companies and individuals, collectively, Blue Airways FZE, and Mahan Airways for an additional 180 days as evidence obtained by BIS shows that the respondent parties have violated the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). 3. OFAC Adds 8 Individuals Representing FARC to its SDN List
The Office of Foreign Assets Control has added eight individuals to its Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List. The eight designated are international representatives of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), a narco-terrorist organization. 4. BTS Releases North American Surface Trade Numbers for July 2008
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics released the North American surface trade numbers for July 2008: trade using surface transportation between the U.S. and its NAFTA partners, Canada and Mexico, was 15.9% higher in July 2008 than in July 2007, reaching $71.6 billion. 5. Former British Airways Exec to Plead Guilty for Participating in Air Cargo Price-Fixing Conspiracy
The Justice Department reports that a British citizen and former executive of British Airways World Cargo has agreed to plead guilty, serve eight months in jail and pay a criminal fine for participating in a conspiracy to fix rates for international air cargo shipments. 6. GAO Letter on Ex-Im Bank's Financing of Dual-Use Exports
The Government Accountability Office has posted its letter to congressional committees on export promotion: the Export-Import Bank's financing of dual-use exports. 6. NEXUS Information and Application Form
