The ITA initiated its reconsideration of the sunset review in April 2006, and issued its preliminary results finding that revocation of the order after the original sunset review period of 1996-2001 would have likely led to the continuation or recurrence of dumping. (See ITT's Online Archives or 04/26/06 and 11/13/06 news, 06042635 and 06111320, for BP summary of the ITA's initiation notice and preliminary results.)

In January 2007, the Court of International Trade (CIT) ordered the ITA to "discontinue any action in regard to a reconsideration" of the sunset review, which was overturned by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) in June 2008.

ITA to Issue Final Results by November 6th

The ITA was advised by the Department of Justice on September 22, 2008, that it may resume this review, and the ITA intends to issue its final results by November 6, 2008.
