Miscellaneous International Trade Notices
On May 22, 2008, the Senate overrode the President's veto of H.R. 2419, the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 (Farm Bill), enacting 14 of 15 Farm Bill titles into law (one was inadvertently omitted from the enrolled bill). On May 22, 2008, the House passed the complete farm bill (all 15 titles) under a new bill number (H.R. 6124). 2. Los Angeles Introduces New "Powerful" Electric Truck
On May 16, 2008, Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa joined officials from the Port of LA and South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) for the introduction of what they claim to be the world's most powerful electric truck. Soon, the local manufacturer of this emissions-free truck will open an assembly plant in the Harbor City area of LA. 3. ITA Extends Deadline for Q&V Responses in China Citric Acid Investigation
The International Trade Administration has extended the deadline for responses to its quantity and value (Q&V) questionnaire in the antidumping duty investigation on citric acid and certain citrate salts from China to 5:00 p.m. on June 12, 2008 (from May 27th). 4. President Continues Iraq Stabilization National Emergency

5. OFAC Adds 12 Companies to Drug Traffickers List
The Treasury Department has issued a notice announcing that its Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added 12 companies to its list of Specially Designated Narcotics Traffickers. The companies designated are controlled by individuals previously exposed as front persons for Juan Carlos Ramirez Abadia (aka Chupeta), who remains in Brazilian custody following his capture in August 2007. 6. OFAC Changes Specially Designated Nationals List
The Treasury Department has issued a notice announcing the addition of the 12 companies to OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list. OFAC has also made changes to the SDN list and changed the SDN list under the Belarus program for the Belarusian Oil Trade House. 7. FMC Reschedules its May 28, 2008 Meeting
The Federal Maritime Commission has posted a notice announcing that it is rescheduling its May 28, 2008 regular meeting to June 4, 2008. FMC plans to continue its regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. For the month of June, it will meet on the 11th and 25th.
