CBP Administrative Messages, Web Postings, Etc.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued Truck Manifest, ABI, and ACE Portal Accounts CSMS messages announcing that ACE was experiencing a problem with (1) output response messages and (2) ACE not receiving Portal manifests. In the messages, CBP noted that EDI manifests were being received and processed, however, no 355 messages were being sent out. According to the ACE Help Desk, as of May 12, 2008, these problems had been resolved.

2. CBP Adds Three More Automated Data Extract Training Classes
CBP has issued an electronic notice announcing that three additional Authorized Data Extract (ADE) training classes have been added to the ADE training schedule for the end of May/early June. 3. Upcoming Amendments to the Rough Diamonds Control Regulations
CBP has issued an ABI CSMS message announcing that the Office of Foreign Assets Control will soon be publishing new amendments to the Rough Diamonds Control Regulations (31 CFR Part 592) to add requirements designed to enhance the collection of statistics related to importations and exportations of rough diamonds. CBP Names New Philadelphia Area Port Director. Andrade to Resume Normal Hours of Operation. CBP has issued a press release announcing that the Andrade port of entry will resume normal hours of operation hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. Andrade had extended its hours of operation to 3 a.m. on Monday March 17th as means of reducing wait times for the seasonal influx of agricultural workers from Mexico.
