AD Duty Order Revoked Effective October 31, 2007
The ITA is revoking the order on canned pineapple fruit from Thailand, effective October 31, 2007. The ITA states that as the sole domestic producer of the subject merchandise is no longer producing canned pineapple fruit in the U.S., and the ITA received no comments on its preliminary determination to revoke the order, it has determined that changed circumstances exist to warrant revocation of the order.
CBP to Terminate Suspension of Liquidation/Cash Deposit Requirements
The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to terminate the suspension of liquidation of the merchandise subject to this order with a time of entry on or after October 31, 2007. The AD duty cash deposit requirements will also be terminated.
Entries of subject merchandise prior to the effective date of revocation will continue to be subject to suspension of liquidation and AD duty deposit requirements. (The most recent period for which the ITA has completed an administrative review or ordered automatic liquidation is July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006.)
The ITA states that it will complete any pending administrative reviews of this order and will conduct an administrative review of subject merchandise entered prior to the effective date of revocation in response to appropriately filed requests for review.
(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the order, etc. See ITT's Online Archives or 03/11/08 news, 08031135, for BP summary of the initiation and preliminary results of this AD duty changed circumstances review.)
