President Issues Executive Order Imposing Additional Sanctions on Burma

President Bush has issued Executive Order 13448, effective 12:01 a.m., eastern daylight time, on October 19, 2007, blocking the property or interests in property1 of twelve additional persons, as well as persons to be determined by the Treasury Department to have provided financial, logistical, or technical support to the Government of Burma (Myanmar), to be senior officials of the Government of Burma, etc.
