ITA Intends to Revoke Order for SAF 2507 Steel Bar, Expedited Action Warranted

According to the ITA, it is initiating this changed circumstances review at the request of Swagelok Company and a letter from the domestic industry expressing a lack of interest in continuing to have SAF 2507 grade stainless steel bar from the United Kingdom subject to the AD duty order, and the ITA has determined that expedited action is warranted.

Based on the expression of no interest by the petitioners and absent any objection by any other domestic interested parties, the ITA has preliminarily determined that substantially all of the domestic producers of the like product have no interest in the continued application of the AD duty order on stainless steel bar to SAF 2507 grade bar. Therefore, the ITA is notifying the public of its intent to revoke, in part, the AD duty order as it relates to imports of SAF 2507 grade stainless steel bar from the United Kingdom.

The ITA states that it will issue the final results of this AD duty changed circumstances review no later than 270 days after October 4, 2007, or within 45 days if all parties agree to the preliminary results.
