No Cash Deposit for Reviewed Company, Order Revoked Effective 04/23/07

According to the ITA, this review covers shipments of subject merchandise from Corus Staal BV (Corus Staal) to the U.S.

However, no cash deposit instructions are being issued for Corus Staal, as the ITA revoked this AD duty order and instructed U.S. Customs and Border Protection to liquidate and to discontinue collection of cash deposits on entries of subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after April 23, 2007, the effective date of revocation of the order.

(See ITT's Online Archives or 05/08/07 news, 07050820, for BP summary of the revocation of this AD duty order.)

Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (11/01/04 - 10/31/05)

The ITA states that it will issue appropriate assessment instructions directly to CBP 15 days after May 22, 2007. The ITA will direct CBP to assess the resulting assessment rate against the entered customs values for the subject merchandise on each of the importer's entries during the review period.

Additionally, the ITA states that it has calculated importer-specific duty assessment rates for subject merchandise, which trade sources note may differ significantly from cash deposit rates.

(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the order, etc. See ITT's Online Archives or 12/29/06 news, 06122935, for BP summary of the preliminary results of this AD duty administrative review.)
