2. OCEMA Proposes FMCSA Use Its Planned Chassis ID System

According toThe Journal of Commerce, the Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association has proposed that a chassis management system it is developing provide the means by which the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration fulfills Federal safety requirements to track chassis back to their owners. The Agricultural Marketing Service has issued a notice announcing a public meeting of its Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee on June 4, 2007 in Washington, DC.
