Washington Trade Daily reports that the Bush Administration will soon be advising Colombia, Panama, Peru and South Korea about the changes that must be made to their pending free trade agreements under the recent deal reached with Congressional Democrats last week. 3. USTR Determines No Countries Deny U.S. Access to Airport Projects

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has issued a notice announcing that it has determined not to include any countries on the list of countries that deny fair market opportunities for U.S. products, suppliers, or bidders in foreign government-funded airport construction projects. 4. China Suspends Imports of U.S. Poultry from WV on April 17, 2007

The Foreign Agricultural Service has released an attache report stating that China's Ministry of Agriculture and China's inspection and quarantine body announced the suspension of imports of uncooked, fresh/frozen poultry and poultry products from West Virginia, effective April 17, 2007. China took this regulatory action as a result of an H5N2 LPAI outbreak in Pendleton, WV announced March 30, 2007, and is expected to resume imports 3 months after the outbreak and disinfection measures. 5. CBP Airport/Seaport User Fee Advisory Committee to Hold Public Meeting

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice announcing a public meeting of its Airport and Seaport Inspections User Fee Advisory Committee on June 6, 2007 in Washington, DC. Among other things, this Committee advises the Department of Homeland Security via the Commissioner of CBP on issues related to the performance of airport and seaport inspections involving agriculture, Customs, or immigration based concerns. 6. PHMSA to Hold Open Workshop June 14, 2007 on Loading/Unloading

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has issued a notice announcing that it will hold a public workshop on June 14, 2007 in Washington, DC on loading and unloading practices. The workshop, for which PHMSA seeks speakers and participants, will identify industry best practices and standards and consider industry actions that have the potential to reduce risk during loading and unloading, among other items.
