AD: Argentina and Brazil Certain Seamless Carbon and Alloy Steel Standard, Line, and Pressure Pipe
The International Trade Commission has issued a press release stating that on April 19, 2007, four Commissioners voted to revoke the existing antidumping duty order on certain seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line, and pressure pipe from Argentina and Brazil.

The Commissioners determined that revoking the existing orders on subject merchandise from Argentina and Brazil would not be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.
Conversely, certain Commissioners also determined that revoking the order on subject merchandise from Germany would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time; as a result, the AD order on Germany (A-428-820) will remain in place.
(This action comes under the five-year (sunset) review process required by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act (URAA), which according to 19 CFR 351.218(a), requires the International Trade Administration to revoke an AD or countervailing duty order, or terminate a suspension agreement, after five years unless it is found that revocation would be likely to lead to both (1) a continuation or recurrence of dumping or a countervailable subsidy and (2) material injury to a U.S. industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.
A negative determination either by the ITA with respect to (1) above or by the ITC with respect to (2) above results in the revocation of the AD and/or CV duty order.)
