Washington Trade Daily reports that during the week of April 2, 2007, the Maine State Legislature unanimously passed a resolution calling on Congress not to renew presidential trade promotion authority (TPA), which is set to expire June 30, 2007. The article also notes that a similar measure has been introduced in the Vermont legislature and that other states could follow suit as the expiration of TPA approaches.
