2. ITA Announces Healthcare Technologies Trade Mission to Turkey, Jordan, Egypt
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued a notice announcing that its Office of Global Trade Programs, in conjunction with the Global Healthcare Team, will lead a healthcare technologies trade mission to Turkey, Jordan, and Egypt from October 24-November 1, 2007. According to the ITA, this mission will, among other things, allow representatives of U.S. medical equipment and healthcare technology firms interested in entering or expanding existing business in these markets. 3. President Issues Determination of Cooperation of 2005 Importing/Exporting Countries of Ephedrine, Etc.
The President issued a determination on February 28, 2007 which states that the top five exporting and importing countries of pseudoephedrine and ephedrine in 2005 have cooperated fully with the U.S. or have taken adequate steps on their own to achieve full compliance with the goals and objectives established by the United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has issued a notice announcing a meeting of the National Organic Standards Board on March 27 - March 29, 2007 in Washington, DC.
