2. President Continues National Emergency With Respect to the Conflict in Cote d'Ivoire

3. Technical Corrections Made to Presidential Proclamation 8097

The Executive Office of the President has issued a notice announcing that it has made the following two technical corrections to Proclamation 8097 (modifying the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), adjusting rules of origin under the U.S.- Australia Free Trade Agreement and for other purposes): (1) in the document heading "Proclamation 8097 of December 27, 2006" should read "Proclamation 8097 of December 29, 2006," and (2) the Federal Register running head is corrected (see notice for details). 4. BIS Denies Certain Export Privileges to Related Persons for Activities Related to Export Without License, Etc.

The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has issued an Order, which applies a previous Order imposing a fifty year denial of certain export privileges, to 12 additional persons. According to BIS, the 12 persons listed in the Order are related to Ihsan Medhat Elashi aka I. Ash, Haydee Herrera, Abdullah Al Nasser, Samer Suwwan, and Sammy Elashi, who was issued the previous Order for activities related to his export of items to Syria without the required licenses and the export of items to various destinations in violation of a temporary denial of his export privileges. 5. APHIS Proposed Rule to Add Nayarit to List of CSF-Free Regions, Etc.

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has issued a proposed rule which would amend 9 CFR Part 94 to add the Mexican State of Nayarit to the list of regions considered free of classical swine fever (CSF). APHIS also proposes to add Nayarit to the list of CSF-affected regions whose exports of live swine, pork, and pork products to the U.S. must meet certain certification requirements to ensure their freedom from CSF. APHIS will consider all comments received on or before April 2, 2007. 6. OFAC Unblocks Property of One Entity Under WMD Sanctions

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has issued a notice publishing the name of one entity, Great Wall Airlines Company Limited, whose property and interests in property have been unblocked pursuant to Executive Order (EO) 13382, "Blocking Property of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Proliferators and Their Supporters," and whose name has been removed from the list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons effective December 12, 2006.
