AD/CV: Canada Certain Softwood Lumber Products ( Orders Revoked )
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued notices announcing that it is revoking the antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duty orders on certain softwood lumber products from Canada.

(These revocations come under the entry into force of the U.S.-Canada Softwood Lumber Agreement (SLA1), which was signed on September 12, 2006, and became effective October 12, 2006, the date the U.S. and Canadian governments exchanged letters indicating that the conditions for the entry into force of the SLA 2006 had been fulfilled.)
AD/CV Duty Orders Revoked Effective May 22, 2002
The ITA states that it is revoking the AD and CV duty orders on softwood lumber from Canada, effective May 22, 2002.
ITA Rescinds All Ongoing AD/CV Reviews
As a result of the revocation of these orders, the ITA is also rescinding all ongoing proceedings related to the AD and CV duty orders, including administrative reviews, an AD new shipper review, an AD changed circumstances review, and all outstanding CV expedited reviews.
Collection of AD/CV Cash Deposits to Cease Effective October 12, 2006
The ITA states that in accordance with the terms of the SLA, it will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to cease collecting AD/CV cash deposits, as of October 12, 2006, on imports of softwood lumber products from Canada.
CBP to Liquidate and Refund with Interest Entries on or After May 22, 2002
The ITA will instruct CBP to liquidate all entries made on or after May 22, 2002, without regard to AD or CV duties, except that, where liquidation of certain entries is enjoined for AD purposes, the AD liquidation instructions for such entries will be issued upon removal of the injunction. In addition, the ITA will instruct CBP to refund all deposits collected on such entries with accrued interest.
